How Wild.Codes feeds Clay the people who hire engineers

Wild.Codes finds up to six decision makers at every company that posts a developer job: Clay reads the posts, Generect finds the people, without Clay's HTTP API plan.

Wild.Codes is an AI hiring platform for engineering teams: startups and SMEs hire vetted senior engineers from a pool of 15,000+ in Eastern Europe and LATAM, and watch their interviews first.

Its outbound has to reach the people who make the hiring call: founders, engineering leaders, HR and recruiters. Since 2024 Wild.Codes has used Generect to find them, up to six people at each target company.

Reach the people who hire

A company that posts a job for a senior engineer needs one. Wild.Codes starts from those posts and goes to the people behind them: the founder, the head of engineering, the HR lead, the recruiter. Not anyone at the company, and not a generic list.

Clay for the thinking, Generect for the people

Every week Wild.Codes runs the same loop:

  1. Job posts in. A fresh batch of developer job posts lands in a Clay table.
  2. Company found. Clay reads every post and finds the hiring company: its LinkedIn page, website and headcount.
  3. People found. Each company goes to Generect’s lead search, which returns up to six people: HR, engineering leaders, founders and recruiters.
  4. Scored and reached. The people land back in the table, where Clay scores the fit, finds emails and starts the campaign.

Why the call runs outside Clay

Calling an outside API from inside a Clay table needs Clay’s HTTP API, which Clay includes from its Growth plan. Wild.Codes kept a smaller Clay plan and lets its own agents make that one call: they send each company’s LinkedIn page to Generect and bring the people back into the table.

Generect bills per person found and charges nothing when a company has nobody who fits, so the cost follows the results, not the plan.

The numbers

  • 100,000+ decision makers found by ICP search since August 2025.
  • Up to 6 people per company: HR, engineering leaders, founders and recruiters.
  • Since 2024 using Generect for outbound.

Counted from Generect’s usage data.

In Wild.Codes’ words

“We help startups hire senior engineers, so our outbound has to reach the people who make that call: founders, engineering leaders and HR. Generect finds them at each target company, and we run it straight from our Clay tables and our own agents.”
